Nancy Akinyi Debe, the team captain for Kenya led 42 top cyclists from the country.
Other countries from Africa that participated in the event are: South Africa, Uganda, Congo DRC, Egypt , Ghana, Morroco, Namibia, Mauritius,Eritria and Angola.
